Adhaar’s main trust area is Women and Adolescent Girls welfare by providing or through linkage with other organizations e.g. Health, Education and Socio- Economic up-liftment. As we know that women are key factor in any family for care and well being its member. So, we have thought, plan, act and help them to empower both socially and economically. In this concern, we have conducted no. for programme for welfare of women:

• Medical check up, Pre - Post natal care & Immunisation of Pregnant.

• Health and Nutrition talks / sessions.

• Formation of Mahila Mandal, Education Committee, Self Help Groups(SHG), Micro Credit and Mahila Punchayat, Vocational & Skill Development Training, Exposure visits & Networking with other Women Organisations: KARWAH, Action India, YWCA, DCW, NCW, MARG, UNIFEM, Lawyer Collective, GRC, ITI etc.

• Family life Counselling and Legal Guidance and Assistance.

Women Development & Empowerment

Vocational and Skill Development training and Guidance.

More than 134 women and young girls take vocational Training Separate batches in GRC Training Center of cutting & Stitching, JUTE & PAPER Bags Making, Computer Learning and book biding for the purpose income generation and economically independent. The young students/ unemployed youth are also given vocation guidance to choose their career.

Health Care Awareness

Our motive is health care and health awareness for underprivileged people and construction workers at construction sites in East Delhi area.

Women & Child Health check up Camp:

• The organization conduct the OPD Health Centre & alternative health check up camps in the target area for underprivileged people with support Smile Foundation Mobile dispensary. We also aware & sensitized people through Street plays, distribution of pamphlets, Community Meetings and Stakeholder meetings.
  

Health Awareness Campaign:

• NGO is running health awareness campaign on different type of issues like Immunizations, HIV/AIDS, RTI/STI and Tobacco Free Cessations in the target areas through awareness camps, Street Plays, distribution of Pamphlets, Community Meetings and Stakeholder meetings. 617 of beneficiaries were Sensitized & Counseled through this program.

Pre-School Education

ADHAAR running the basic preschool education centre for underprivileged community children more than 111 children. Our motto is their education, health, safety and mainstreaming in Government Schools and aware their parents for Right to Education (RTE), Primary Education & Fundamental Right.

NGO conducted monthly PTA for the welfare of children like health, nutrition and quality education. Total number of PTA meetings was eleven (11) through which our volunteers motivated the community people for the education for all.

Under the admission campaign conducted by our volunteers, we admit 46 children in MCD schools / Pvt. Schools of the areas.

Female Feticide: PC-PNDT Act (IEC Awareness Activity)

Ngo has hold 36 Community Meetings held with Stakeholder like Local leaders, Mahila Group / Panchayat, Asha (Health) & Anganwari workers and NGO Workers.

Awareness Camps were held at Ashok Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Vishwas Nagar, IMA EAST Delhi, on 2th Oct, 2015 more 250 participated including Doctors, Para-medical staff, experts and councilors, community women & school children discussed the issue on PCPNDT, machines, parameters of new registrations of clinic and emphasis on presentation of PC–PNDT Act to stop sex selection before birth, Special visit to registered clinics / Nursing Homes / Hospitals and check up their records and Home visit to target beneficiaries / pregnant women IEC Campaigns for ‘Save the Girl Child’ through Competition, Debate, Rallies & Street plays, & Mobile Van Campaign on PC-PNDT Act, Networking with schools & colleges to promote the youth campaign.

Women Legal Awareness

ADHAAR is working on various legal awareness issues for community women such as domestic violence, dowry and maintenance, child marriage etc. The organization made aware the people through community meeting, street plays & individual counseling. The organization also referred such cases to deferent organizations i.e. Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA), National Commission for Women (NCW), Delhi Women Commission & Crime Against Women Cell (CAWC).

The 106 legal awareness camps, meetings and counseling sessions with community people and legal cases forwarded to appropriate authorities. The impact came out through our legal campaign for the community, the organization referred 31 cases to the various agencies: DLSA, DCW-Women Commission & Women Cell.

Clean Green Environment

Our efforts are continuing to keep Pollution Free Environment. The Association has executed the projects Environment Awareness and Mass Education Campaign against ANTI fire Crackers & No use of poly Bags. We are promoting of daily use of JUTE bags and other Eco Friendly Items.

General Health Care Campaigns

The most important area covered by Adhaar to create awareness and health conciseness among the masses, particularly Children, Adolescents , Women, Aged & Youth. We do Regular Health checkup of Govt.
