ADHAAR means Association for Development of Human Action and Rehabilitation

In 1993, ADHAAR (Ass. For Development of Human Action & Rehabilitation) had taken initiatives to do welfare activities & programme for children, women, youth and senior citizens. Under the support and guidance of eminent professional board members.

Our main objective is to develop the human action for proper rehabilitation for those who are in difficult circumstances.

In this concern, we are putting our efforts to raise their Awareness level, socio - economic status and psychological development of the community.

INTORDUCTION

In our target areas, ADHAAR has tried to provide welfare services e.g. Elementary Education( Special emphasis on Girl Child), Health care, Social & Legal protection and Economic Empowerment for those who are not get access to it and living in Slum / Unauthorized Areas of East Delhi and also not catered by Government or Non-Government organizations.

Keeping these circumstances in view, we have emphasized the community Participation through community organization by involving children & women and youth and also to make them aware, educate and sensitize at large to small portion of the Target area. In Basti, we have Committee of Women, Children & Youth.

OUR PROJECTS

Preschool/Non-Formal Education

ADHAAR has run Balwadis and NFE at Chilla Village, Patpargunj, Mandawali and New Ashok Nagar and basic computer learning. Preschool education and socialization is provided to 130 young children in the age group of 3 to 5 years.

Mahila Panchayat

The total number of Mahila Panchayat meetings held was 198 and 4649 community women members. 173 new cases were handled and 93 cases were solved. 180 cases were counseled. 268 cases were sent notices by Mahila panchayat.

Delhi Jal Board has given an assignment under Yamuna Action Plan, phase-II under Public Participation/Advocacy/Outreach Work at schools and community level (in Un-authorized colony, JJ Basti, and Urban rural Village) in Trans Yamuna (East & North East)
