Delhi Jal Board has given an assignment under Yamuna Action Plan, phase-II under Public Participation/Advocacy/Outreach Work at schools and community level (in Un-authorized colony, JJ Basti, and Urban rural Village) in Trans Yamuna (East & North East). Under YAP-II programme, we did sample survey and made linkage with Local Leaders, Pardhans, RWAs, Market Associations, Govt. Schools and SHGs for proper association to start the programme. As per direction of DJB, the organization has organized 430 Film Shows, 390 Nukar Natak, 100 Essay Writing/ Painting/Quiz Competitions, visit to DJB- Bhagirithi Water Treatment Plant etc. and distributed of IEC materials (Poster Calendars, Bags, Lodo, Stickers, Examination Board, Books level, game (snakes and ladder) etc. ) to all targeted 260 community ( JJ clusters, Un- authorized Colony & Rural Village and 100 Govt. schools children. We also formed SAVE YAMUNA CLUB amongst all stakeholders under the guidance of Nodal Officer(EE) (DJB). We have also held mega programme under YAP-II for mass community awareness and sensitization on theme SAVE WATER & SAVE YAMUNA under their guidance and kind support of MLA, MCD- Counselors, DJB Officials and community leaders.
